Lubbock, Texas – The Eastern New Mexico track and field team started off the 2020 season in at the Texas Tech Corky Classic. Seven Hounds placed in the top ten while three took home top five awards.
After an impressive junior year as a Hound,
Ivar Moinat was sure to impress in his senior year debut. Placing second in the 400m crossing the line with a time of 50.01. Moina'ts best time in the 400m was set at the Ross Black Invitational at 48.41 last year.
Senior
Bryanna Williams took fourth place in the Women's Weight Throw with a distance of 13.02-meters (42-8 ¾). Williams returns to the Hounds after completing in four meeting last season recording the fourth0best shot put mark in program history. Transfer senior
Evaline Cheptoo took home third place in the 3000m with a time of 11:01.99.
The Greyhounds will return for the second day of the Texas Tech Corky Classic on Saturday, Jan. 18
