RICHARDSON, Texas - Eastern New Mexico's Andre Smikle earned Lone Star Conference All-Academic team honors, as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Arizona native boasts a 3.4 GPA and is earning a degree from ENMU in social work.
 
Smikle most recently was named to the all-conference first-team after a dominating performance at the conference championships, earning first place in the discus throw, sixth in the shot put, and ninth in the hammer throw.
