LUBBOCK, TX – Eastern New Mexico track and field finished the second day of competition at the Texas Tech Shootout.
The Greyhounds competed against Division I and Division II competition over the two day meet and went up against tough competition. Saturday action saw Greyhounds on the track for the mile, 3000-meter, and 400-meter run.
Andrew Villegas was the only Hound to participate in the 400-meter finishing with a time of 52.26.
Jessie Madrid was also a lone Hound competitor in the 3000-meter crossing the finish line at 9:06.17.
Multiple Greyhounds competed in the mile on both the men and women's side. For the women,
Marta Pascoa took 29
th out of 46 runners with a time of 5:46.96.
Kayla Sisneros recorded a time of 5:56.86 while
Viridiana Ruiz, Lauren Greigo and
Tara Mayes rounded out the women's runners.
On the men's side,
Jon Fuentes placed 12
th out of 31 runners crossing the finish line at 4:31.58.
Alejandro Chavez followed finished with a time of 4:46.15, while
Louis Bolander and
Toby Kirk rounded out the men mile competitors.
The Greyhounds will head back to Lubbock, TX next weekend to compete in the Lone Star Indoor Championship.
