PORTALES, NM – Eastern New Mexico Track & Field athlete Ivar Moinat has qualified for the NCAA D2 Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Moinat will head to Birmingham, Al. where he will compete against 15 other athletes, three LSC athletes, in the 800-meter prelim scheduled for Friday, March 13th at 4:40 p.m. The final event will take place the following day, March 14^th at 5:10 p.m. Moinat earned a provisional mark after running a 1:50.39 800-meter last month at the Texas Tech Shootout taking third place.

This will be the Greyhound's seniors second NCAA D2 Indoor Championship competing in the 800-meter. Last year, Moinat took seventh finishing with a time of 1:51.25. Moinat has made great strides during the 2020 indoor season finishing first in the Lone Star Conference for the 800-meter and was named to the NCAA Division II All-Region Honors list.
