ABILENE, TX. – Kelvin Kipkemboi shined for Men's Cross Country finishing second at the ACU Naimadu Classic, while Women's Cross Country showed another strong team performance, on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18^th. The Women's program finished 3^rd of eight teams, while the Men's team finished 5^th of the eight competing programs.

Kipkemboi stood out for the Greyhounds clocking a time of 24:56.7 on the 8K course. The Hounds saw two more top-25 finishers. Japhet Toroitich finished 11^th in his first race of the season, sporting a time of 26:06.4.

Sylvestre Kibara was the next ENMU runner to cross the line in 24^th place, with a time of 26:58.9. Devis Cheruiyot also showed a positive performance, crossing the finish line with a time of 27:31.7, to finish in 33^rd place.

Eastern's women's program saw four runners in the top-20 on the 6.25k course, led by Aminata Kenyawani. Kenyawani crossed the line in 7^th place, with a time of 23:19.6, finishing as the top runner out of the Lone Star Conference teams at the event. Dorcas Kosgei was the next ENMU runner to finish, a time of 23:53.3 was enough for 13^th.

Neri Getraide and Marta Pascoa were next for the Greyhounds. Getraide supplied a time 24:02.2 finishing in 16^th, while Pascoa posted a time of 24:11.3, standing in 20^th place. Lethabo Seema notched a top-30 finish, clocking a time 24:52.4, crossing the line on 28^th place.

ENMU now prepare for the Chili Pepper Invitational on Friday, Oct. 1^st, in Fayetteville, Ark. The women's race is set to begin at 4 p.m. with the men's race following at 4:30 p.m.
