RICHARDSON, Texas — Eastern New Mexico women's soccer student-athlete
Hannah Grady has been recognized as the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Grady is the first women's soccer student-athlete to receive a weekly honor this season and receives the weekly honor for the first time in their career.
Grady helped the ENMU defense keep two clean sheets during the week, finishing with a record of 1-0-1. The midfielder played every second of the two matches and was vital in breaking up possession, keeping Lubbock Christian (0-0) and UT Tyler (1-0) off the scoresheet. In addition to their defensive play, Grady scored the game-winning goal during the Greyhounds 1-0 victory over UT Tyler. Grady's goal came 10 minutes into the contest with the Patriots and was their first in an ENMU uniform.
Eastern completed its season this past Friday, picking up a 1-0 win over UT Tyler. The Greyhounds finished the campaign with a 5-10-2 standing, along with a conference record of 3-7-2.
