DALLAS, TEXAS – Samantha Jeffries of Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer picked up All-Academic Honors, as announced at the 2022 LSC Women's Soccer Awards Banquet on the campus of Dallas Baptist University in Dallas, Texas on Thursday evening. Jeffries is the first Greyhound named to the All-Academic team since Caitlyn Schmidt received the honor in 2019.
Jeffries lands on the LSC All-Academic team for the first time in their career. The Digital Filmmaking major holds a 4.00 GPA and has been named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll four times. On the field, the Junior goalkeeper played every minute for the Greyhounds, holding a conference best 5.94 saves per game and 101 total saves. Jeffries finished second in the Lone Star Conference in save percentage (.842), helping the Greyhounds set a single season best for team save percentage (.847). Jeffries figures in saves, saves per game, and save percentage all stand in the top-10 for single season records for an ENMU goalkeeper. Additionally, Jeffries seven shutouts in 2022 are 2
nd among single season records for the program.
Eastern finished the 2022 season with a 5-10-2 record and a 3-7-2 record in LSC play.
Eric Belcher completed their first season as head coach of the Greyhound Women's Soccer program.
