RICHARDSON, Texas — After helping Eastern New Mexico Men's Soccer finish unbeaten last week, Felix Drizinsky has been named Lone Star Conference Defender of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. The sophomore picked up their second honor of season, after winning LSC Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the season (9/26). In total, it is the fourth time an ENMU player has been selected as POTW honor, with Hugo Sacco winning LSC Goalkeeper of the Week (9/26) and Nick Huenig winning LSC Offensive Player of the Week (10/10).
The Essen, Germany native helped the Greyhounds keep a clean sheet during a 0-0 draw with Lubbock Christian, playing 85 minutes. Then, the ENMU wing-back dished out a pair of assists during Eastern's 3-1 victory over St. Edward's. Drizinsky setup the opening goal and the game-winning goal during the win over the Hilltoppers.
Eastern stay at home for their next contest, facing DBU on Wednesday, Oct. 18, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Then, the Greyhounds travel to #2 Midwestern State in a tough road clash on Saturday, Oct. 21, beginning at 4 p.m. (MST).
