PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Men's Soccer had three members receive Academic All-District® Honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC), on Tuesday afternoon. Juniors Mathieu Beuvain and Ludwig Scherer were joined by sophomore Matteo Azambuja. All three received their first CSC Academic All-District honors.

Azambuja earns the CSC honor after sporting a 3.73 GPA, majoring in Physical Education and Athletic Training. The Paris, France native supplied a pair of goals and an assist seeing the field 16 times, making three starts. The forward fired 19 shots during the season, with nine shots on goal.

Beuvain picks up their first career honor after starting all 15 games they played in. The mathematics major, pursuing a minor in Health Education, holds a career 3.68 GPA. The defender recorded a goal and an assist playing the full 90 minutes on nine occasions. Beuvain scored the Hounds goal against Fort Lewis (9/2) and provided an assist on the game winning goal against Adams State (8/31).

Scherer played in 16 of the Greyhounds 17 matches, starting each game they played in. Holding a 3.83 GPA, the mathematics major earns their first CSS honor. The junior was a constant in the ENMU back line, playing 90 minutes in 11 of their 16 matches on the field. Scherer provided one assist during the campaign with 14 shots.

In order to be considered for the CoSIDA Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must have played 90% of the team's games or start in 66.6% of the team's games with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.
