PORTALES, N.M. – On Wednesday afternoon, Jonatan Clough was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) South Central All-Region Second Team. This is the first regional honor for Clough in their career.

Clough was a big factor in the Greyhounds lineup this past season, leading the team in home runs (18), slugging percentage (.762), RBIs (69), total bases (134), and walks (25). In his first year of collegiate baseball, the Greyhounds left fielder led the Lone Star Conference in home runs (18) and currently is first in the LSC for slugging percentage.

The La Romana, Dominican Republic native broke an ENMU single season school record for home runs (18), slugging percentage (.762), and total bases (134). No stranger to the NCBWA, Clough took home NCWBA South-Central (4/19) and National Hitter of the Week (4/20) in late April. Clough is the first Greyhound to receive NCBWA All-Region honors since 2018 when Alex DeLaCruz was named to the NCBWA All-Region First Team.

ENMU concluded the season with a trip to the LSC Postseason Tournament opening round. With a mark of 23-28, the Greyhounds achieved their highest win total in the Riley Price era, along with securing a program high 21 wins in LSC play.
