Men's Soccer Unveils 2023 Schedule

Greyhounds will face a full 17 game season, with six home contests

PORTALES, N.M. – After the program completed its first season following reinstatement, Eastern New Mexico men's soccer has released its schedule for the upcoming 2023 season. The Greyhounds will play a 17-game schedule, with eight non-conference bouts and nine Lone Star Conference (LSC) matchups. Fans will have the opportunity to see New Mexico's NCAA Men's Soccer team play at Greyhound Stadium seven times during the regular season.

The Greyhounds will spend their first two weeks of the season in Colorado, taking on Adams State in the season opener (Aug. 31). Eastern will then travel to Durango, Colo. to lock horns with Fort Lewis on Sept. 2., facing the Skyhawks for just the second time in program history. The following weekend, ENMU returns to the Centennial State for a pair of games in Grand Junction, Colo. facing Westminster College (Sept. 7) then taking on hosts Colorado Mesa (Sept. 9).

Eastern play its first home game of 2023 on Sept. 16, with South Dakota Mines coming to Portales. It will be the first time the Hardrockers face the Greyhounds at Greyhound Stadium. The match with South Dakota Mines will conclude the Hounds RMAC opponents for the regular season.

Prior to the start of LSC play, the Greyhounds will face three LSC opponents in a non-conference contest. The three-game stint starts in Dallas, Texas with the Greyhounds facing DBU (Sept. 20). ENMU return home to tangle with Texas A&M International (Sept. 23), then head to St. Mary's (Sept. 27) to conclude the non-conference portion of the season.

October marks the beginning of conference play for the Greyhounds, with a road trip to West Texas A&M scheduled for Oct. 4 to kick things off. Eastern will face St. Mary's for the second time in the span of two weeks, with the Rattlers making the journey to New Mexico to time around (Oct. 7). The Greyhounds continue conference play with a short trip to Lubbock Christian, Oct. 11, for a midweek clash with the Chaparrals.

After the trip to Lubbock, the Greyhounds return home for a pair of matches with St. Edward's (Oct. 14) and DBU (Oct. 18). St. Edward's returns to the LSC after reinstating their men's soccer program in the fall of 2022. ENMU beat the Hilltoppers the last time they came to Portales, when picked up a 2-1 win over SEU. Following the back-to-back home stretch, the Greyhounds end their road schedule with a pair matches. The Greyhounds will take on Midwestern State (Oct. 21) and Texas A&M International (Oct. 25).

To close the regular season, the Greyhounds have home games against Oklahoma Christian (Oct. 28) and UT Tyler (Nov. 1).
