PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico women's soccer head coach
Eric Belcher has announced the 2023 schedule, containing 18 regular-season games with 12 games against Lone Star Conference opponents, along with six games at Greyhound Stadium.
The Greyhounds begin their campaign in Alamosa, Colorado with a contest against Adams State (Aug. 31), and will stay in Colorado to begin the month of September against Fort Lewis (Sept. 2), with both games being played at Adams State.
Eastern begins their home schedule against in-state rival New Mexico Highlands on Sept. 6, with kick-off scheduled for 6 p.m. ENMU took home a 2-0 victory the last time these two programs met in 2022, during a road contest in Las Vegas, N.M.
Following the home opener, the Greyhounds head to Nebraska for a pair of non-conference games against Drury (9/8) and Quincy (9/10), both held at Nebraska-Kearney. It is the first time the program will face Drury and Quincy, along with being the first opponents from the Great Lakes Valley Conference ENMU will face.
Following their trip to the Cornhusker State, ENMU returns to Colorado for its final non-conference game of the regular season to face Colorado Christian (Sept. 15). The meeting with the Cougars marks the third consecutive season in which the two programs matchup.
Lone Star Conference play starts at Greyhound Stadium when Lubbock Christian comes to face the Greyhounds (Sept. 20). After the conference opener, Eastern have back-to-back road trips to close the month of September. ENMU head to Tyler, Texas to play UT Tyler on Sept. 23, with a quick turnaround to face Midwestern State on the road on Sept. 27.
To begin the month of October, Eastern will square off against St. Edward's on Oct. 1 as part of homecoming week. The Greyhounds continue their home stretch with a midweek bout with Texas Woman's on Oct. 4. Following the two straight home games, ENMU will have a pair of road games heading to Angelo State (Oct. 7) and St. Mary's (Oct. 14).
The Greyhounds return home for a midweek clash with Oklahoma Christian (Oct. 18) and will hit the road for a pair of away days in the Lone Star State following their contest with OC. Eastern will make the long trip to face Texas A&M International in Laredo, Texas (Oct. 21). Then, the Greyhounds travel to UT Permian Basin to face the Falcons for a weeknight contest (Oct. 25).
ENMU will play its final home game on Oct. 28, as reigning LSC regular season and tournament champions, DBU, comes to town. Eastern concludes the regular season on the road against West Texas A&M (Oct. 31).
