PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Men's Soccer complete a two-game road swing tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30, heading to Canyon, Texas to face West Texas A&M in a Lone Star Conference clash. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. (MST) / 7 p.m. (CST).

SERIES INSIGHT

• ENMU and WT faceoff for the 32^nd time in program history, with the Buffs holding a 24-3-1 record over the Greyhounds.
• The teams meet for the second time this season, as West Texas A&M beat the Greyhounds in a non-conference clash, 3-1, in September (9/12/24). WT scored three goals in the first half to seal the contest, while Eastern scored a late consolation.
• Overall, the Greyhounds have just one win in conference play against West Texas A&M. That win was a 2-1 triumph on 10/26/16, when both teams were members of the Heartland Conference for soccer.
• ENMU last positive result on the road against WT was a 0-0 draw in 2018, while the programs last win in Canyon happened in 2014 (1-0 win).

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS

• ENMU's top scorers are Ben Sauerländer and Pablo Nodar with three goals each. SCOUTING THE BUFFS

• West Texas A&M are riding a high after beating #18 Midwestern State 2-1 this past Saturday. WT is tied with the Greyhounds for conference points (nine), with an overall record of 4-6-4, and an LSC record of 2-2-3.
• Recently, Gabriel Nevarez was named LSC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring both goals in the win over #18 MSU.  Nevarez leads the team in goals (4), assists (3), points (11), shots (27), and shots on goal (12). Matteo Landais adds four goals to the attack, while Dominic Murphy's three assists are a major boost.
• In goal, Luke Southerington started the last seven matches for the Buffs with a pair of wins this past week. Southerington, recognized as LSC Goalkeeper of the Week, has made 32 saves this season with 1.15 goals against average, and a .780 save percentage.
• As a team, West Texas A&M is averaging 12.3 shots per game, with 37% of efforts going on goal. As for fouls, the team has 39 yellow cards, while committing for 157 fouls.
