PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico men's and women's track and field is set for the first indoor meet of the season at Pittsburg State. Before the team competes, please take a look at the 4x4 Preview:
1x4 – Players to Watch: The Lone Star Conference announced four Greyhounds as 2024-25 players to watch. Those recognized include
Hemon Joseph (field),
Strahinja Radakovic (track),
Journie Alexander (field), and
Gabriela Elizalde (track). Joseph is one of several key returners to ENMU this season. He is a specialist in the multis who finished eighth in the heptathlon at the 2024 LSC indoor track and field championships. Radakovic, Alexander, and Elizalde are all in their first years with Eastern New Mexico. Radakovic is a hurdler hailing from Vaternik, Serbia. Alexander specializes in jumps and will compete in short sprints as well this year. Elizalde will run short sprints and be part of relay teams for Eastern.
2x4 – Top Returners: Six Greyhounds who scored at the 2024 Lone Star Conference indoor track and field championships are back for ENMU this season. Those student-athletes include
Grizell Scarlett,
Jodian Stewart,
Helena Carboo-Klutsey,
Minerva Cerda Hernandez,
Meghan Rodriguez, and
Kennedy Ulmer. Scarlett impressed in her first year at Eastern as she won the conference title in the 60m dash and took seventh in the 200m. She also ran a leg in the 4x400 team who took seventh at the meet. Seven student-athletes who scored points at the indoor championships are back for the Greyhound men's squad. Those Hounds include
Jamoi Jackson,
Timothy Frederick,
Tre Buchanan,
Jude Murray,
Luis Holguin,
Noe Ybaben Burciaga, and
Hemon Joseph. Frederick had an impressive conference meet by winning the 200m, taking third in the 400m, and running a leg for the 4x400 team that took seventh in the competition.
3x4 – PSU Entries: Tomorrow's meet will see 38 entries by the Greyhounds.

Hemon Joseph (long jump, 60m),
Strahinja Radakovic (60H, 60m),
Nicolo Salaris (60m, 200m), and
Riley Midgett (60m, 200m) are competing in multiple events for Eastern New Mexico this weekend. The Hounds most popular event will be the 60m as nine different student-athletes will compete in the short sprint.
4x4 – Meet Notes: Eastern New Mexico will be competing at Pittsburg State for a second-straight season. The Crimson & Gold Invitational is held at the Robert W. Plaster Center which was opened in 2015 and was the site of the 2024 NCAA DII indoor track and field championships. Harvey Dean Track is a 300-meter track (one of six university-owned in the nation) with a Mondo Super X Performance surface. Texas A&M-Kingsville, Dallas Baptist, Oklahoma Christian, UT Tyler, St. Edward's, and Midwestern State will be teams competing from the Lone Star Conference.
