PORTALES, N.M. – Following back-to-back series wins, Eastern New Mexico Baseball heads to Lubbock, Texas to play their final conference series of the season, battling #18 Lubbock Christian. The four-game series starts on Friday, April 26, at 5 p.m. (MST). The series continues Saturday, April 27, with each team playing a doubleheader at 1 p.m. (MST) and 3 p.m. (MST). Both teams conclude the series on Sunday, April 28, with a single game beginning at 12 p.m. (MST).

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDSÂ
Eastern New Mexico (21-25, 19-25 LSC) are still in the running to make the postseason, as five teams are in the running for the final three spots. ENMU would need to win this weekend's series and get some help if they want to continue their season. ENMU wrapped up their home scheduled this past weekend, beating St. Mary's three times. In the series opener,
Gavin Perry and
Zach Raichel combined on the hill during a 7-0 victory (first shutout of the season). In game two,
Landon Pyles provided the game winning hit with a walk-off single in the 7
th inning as ENMU came away with a 9-8 win. St. Mary's struck game to take the third game of the series, 7-5, while the Greyhounds came away with the series finale 10-5, as ENMU jumped out to a 8-0 lead.
Eastern New Mexico hitters current have a .304 batting average, scoring 341 runs with 442 hits and 302 RBIs. Eastern's hitters have drawn 199 walks, with 132 extra base hits this season. In their last conference series, LCU matched up with #5 West Texas A&M taking a pair of games against the Buffs. Both teams split the doubleheader, with WT taking the first game 5-1, and LCU grabbing the nightcap 8-2. West Texas A&M took game three, 7-5, while the Chaps evened the series with a 5-4 game four victory.
