RICHARDSON, Texas – Sophomore
Kennedy Ulmer is the Lone Star Conference outdoor field athlete of the week.
"I am deeply honored and grateful to receive this award. This Season has honestly been a blessing. My track family has done everything to be there for me and help support me through my highs and lows while pushing me to be the best person and athlete I can be," said Ulmer on the recognition. "Thank you for recognizing my efforts. Words cannot express how thankful I am to receive this award."
She broke a second school record this week as she tossed 46.04m (151-0) in the discus at the 2024 Corky/Crofoot Shootout in Lubbock, Texas.
The Rio Rancho, N.M. native also holds the school record in the javelin at 44.30m (145-4).
Ulmer took fourth in last week's meet – only behind Division I competitors.
At ENMU, she is pursuing a degree in biology and will compete next at the LSC outdoor track and field championships hosted by Angelo State University.
