PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico baseball center-fielder Tucker Gideon has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) South Central All-Region All Defensive Team, announced by the organization on Thursday morning.

Playing all 50 games of the season in center field, Gideon patrolled the outfield with a perfect fielding percentage, having 121 chances recording 118 putouts and three assists. The Lubbock, Texas native was named to the LSC All-Defensive team for their efforts, becoming the first Greyhound in program history to be recognized to the ABCA All-Region Defensive Team (award established in 2023).

In addition to their impact on defense, Gideon held a .346 batting average (2^nd on team) with a team leading 65 hits. Gideon contributed 44 runs, 12 doubles, three triples, and a pair of home runs, driving in 27 runs.
