LUBBOCK, Texas – Eastern New Mexico men's track and field spent the weekend at the Corky Classic hosted by Texas Tech.

"We have a lot to build on," said head coach Joshua Harden when asked about the meet. "We are showing some consistency in some areas. Still a lot of work to be done in a lot of other areas."

One of the breakthrough moments for ENMU came from Hemon Joseph in the long jump. The multis specialist had one of his better jumps over the last year with a 7.14m (23-5.25) finish as he placed fifth overall.

"I feel like we did a good job. I am proud of everybody," said Joseph when asked about the meet. "They put in the work everyday and put their best foot forward."

On the track, eight Greyhounds competed in four different events. Omarion Scott ran the 60m in 7.09s. He also posted a 22.68s time in the 200m. Also running the 200m for ENMU was Nicolo Salaris (22.33s) and Kyler Joe (22.41s). Joe doubled in the 400m, as well, with a time of 49.03s. He was joined by teammates Jamoi Jackson (48.36s) and Elijah Davis (51.42s) in the event.

Two mid-distance student-athletes ran the 800m. Those representing Eastern New Mexico were Brian Norton (1:56.57) and Thomas Aerdts (1:58.24). The duo took 32nd and 36th respectively.

Four student-athletes ran the 60m hurdles. Strahinja Radakovic (8.06s), Braden Mounyo (8.63s), Byron Pruitt (8.64s), and Jonathon Pipes (8.91s) ran in the event featuring some of the best talent in collegiate track and field.

Eastern New Mexico ran their best 4x400 of the season with a 3:18.89 time. The group of Kyler Joe, Jamoi Jackson, Brian Norton, and Nicolo Salaris beat out six DI programs among several others in the field of 36 programs.
