RICHARDSON, Texas-Â The Lone Star Conference has announced its 2025 LSC Baseball Preseason Poll as voted upon by coaches and representatives across the league on Thursday morning. The Eastern New Mexico baseball program was selected to finish 10th, picking up 200 total points.

Angelo State takes the top spot in the preseason poll earning 29 first place votes and 483 total point, following reaching the national championship game in 2024. Winning the 2024 LSC regular season and tournament titles last season, Lubbock Christian landing in second place with 457 points and five first place votes. West Texas rounds out the top 3 earning two first place votes and 411 points. UT Tyler followed in 4
th place (386 points, 1 first place vote), St. Edward's (5
th place) followed with 311 points, while Texas A&M International garnered two first place vote and finished in 8
th with 234 points.

In addition to the poll, the conference announced its preseason player and pitcher of the year, with Angelo State's Jacob Guerrero winning LSC Preseason Player of the Year for the second year in a row, while Rawley Hector of UT Tyler was named LSC Preseason Pitcher of the Year. Additionally,
Luciano Terilli and
Adrian Rubio were named preseason players and pitchers to watch, respectively. Terilli earned second team all-conference honors in 2024, leading the team in batting average (.363), while posting a team best three saves as a relief pitcher. Last season, the Greyhounds finished 21-29, with a 19-29 LSC record.

th season with the program, building a 42-man roster for the 2025 season. ENMU returns six regulars to the lineup, as

Tucker Gideon,
Willie Ponce,
Beau Preston,
Daniel Pruitt, and Terilli all started over 47 games for the Greyhounds in 2024. On the mound,
Josaiah Estrella,
Julian Lopez, and Rubio combined for 24 starts are back in the lineup for 2025. Rubio strikeout 45 batters in just 40.2 innings last season, making 17 appearances with eight starts. In total, Eastern brings back 24 student-athletes, with 18 newcomers to the team.

Eastern New Mexico start the 2025 campaign in Kingsville, Texas, facing Texas A&M-Kingsville in a four-game series to begin conference play. The season opener is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 31, beginning at 3 p.m. (MST) / 4 p.m. (CST) from Nolan Ryan Field.
