Greyhound men's track and field set several new top five marks in school history

TOPEKA, Kan. – Eastern New Mexico men's track and field had a strong start to the 2025-26 indoor season as they earned several top five marks in the school record books and notched a few provisional marks.

"Lots of good things happening early," said head coach Joshua Harden after the meet. "We have to keep this momentum rolling into 2026."

The 60m sprint was a strong event for Eastern New Mexico as the program saw four finishers. Hemon Joseph (6.93s), Nicolo Salaris (7.04s), Strahinja Radakovic (7.11s), and John Magee (7.18s) competed in the event. Joseph and Radakovic posted collegiate bests in the event.

Eric Collins (22.31s), Salaris (22.68s), and Magee (22.30s) ran the 200m. Collins (50.06s) and Byron Pruitt (50.40s) entered the 400m. Pruitt's time is his best as a Greyhound.

Eloy Serrano Borrego (1:53.12) and Brian Norton (1:57.63) are expected to be some of the top mid distance runners for Eastern New Mexico this season. Serrano Borrego won the event with a meet record time and sits fourth in school history.

The hurdlers for ENMU this season will be a key group to watch. Strahinja Radakovic ran 8.03s in prelims and went 8.07s in finals to take fourth. His times are provisional marks. Byron Pruitt finished with a personal record of 8.61s and improved his mark as the fourth best in the event in school history.

Joseph continues to be one of the best Greyhound jumpers with an impressive 7.33m (24-0.75) long jump. His mark is an NCAA DII provisional mark. Angelo Bowser also entered the long jump and earned the fifth best mark in school record books with a 7.02m (23-0.5) result. Devon Falco started the season with a 5.33m (17-6) jump.

Falco was the only entry in the triple jump for ENMU and now sits in second in school history with a 14.21m (46-7.5) leap.

The throws crew rounded out the season opener. Andre Smikle 13.84m (45-5) and Noe Ybaben Burciaga 12.99m (42-7.5) both competed in the shot put.

The weight throw was one of the better events for ENMU as Devin Mata threw 14.58m (47-10), which is second best in school history. Noe Ybaben Burciaga threw 14.12m (46-4). In his first meet of his Greyhound career, Braden Pry posted a 13.01m (42-8.25) throw. Pry is fourth in school history in the event after his 13m+ throw.
