PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Baseball hosts LSC opponent Cameron in a four-game series this weekend at Greyhound Baseball Field. The series begins on Friday, February 28, playing a single game at 5 p.m. Next, the two teams face off in a doubleheader, set to begin at 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. Finally, the teams face off in the series finale on Sunday, March 2, beginning at 1 p.m.

SERIES INSIGHT
- The Greyhounds and Cameron long-time conference rivalry dates to 1992, having played 114 times prior. Overall, the Aggies lead the all-time meetings 69-45 and have a 51-30 edge in LSC play.
- In last season's meeting, the two teams split the four-game series in the Lawton. The Greyhounds won the opening game and the series finale, while Cameron took both games of the doubleheader.
- The last time ENMU played a home series against Cameron, Eastern came away with a 3-1 series victory. Cameron took the opening game, but Eastern rattled off three straight wins to claim the series.
- Both teams first played each other in a three-game series in Portales, as the Aggies collected a 2-1 series win, winning the opening two games (4/3-4/92).
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
- Eastern New Mexico (7-7, 5-7 LSC) jumps back into LSC play following a two-game home sweep against New Mexico Highlands. Eastern won the opening game of the series, 15-7, while taking the final game, 7-0, against the Cowboys.
- As a team, the are Greyhounds batting .282 in the first four weeks of the season, supplying 116 hits and 82 runs scored. Eastern have drawn 58 walks, posting 74 RBIS, stealing 31 bases. ENMU's pitching staff have a 5.50 ERA, recording 84 strikeouts and an opposing batting average of .318
- Willie Ponce leads Eastern in the batter's box, batting .455 on the season, with 20 hits and 17 runs scored. Daniel Pruitt jumped into the team lead with 13 RBIs, having nine this past weekend. Luciano Terilli's five doubles lead the team, while their .327 batting average is second on the squad.
- Nick Mooney paces the pitching staff with a 2.35 ERA, holding a 3-0 record over 23.0 innings pitched. Cole Lancaster leads the team in strikeouts (22), while holding the best opposing batting average among starters (.241). Adrian Rubio has 15 strikeouts out of the bullpen this season, allowing just one run over 11.0 innings.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
- Cameron (4-12, 4-12 LSC) come into the weekend after fighting to a solid 6-3 victory over West Texas A&M. Prior to the victory over the Buffs, Cameron was on a nine-game losing skid, dropping two games to Texas A&M-Kingsville, losing four games to St. Edward's, and falling three times against WT.
- The Aggies sport a .263 batting average coming to Portales, scoring 100 runs on 125 hits. CU has picked up 88 RBIs, with 24 doubles, seven triples, and 11 home runs. Cameron's pitching has an 8.27 ERA over 119.2 innings pitched. The Aggies have 83 strikeouts this season, holding opposing hitters to a .315 batting average.
- After the first month of the season, Wilmer Henriquez has a team best .359 batting average, while Diego Villarreal has 19 hits this season to lead the team. Lance Barnett has 21 RBIs in the opening 12 games, while Zane Roos is second best with 13 RBIs. Wyatt Cunnigham has started every game for CU, posting 17 hits with 11 runs and eight RBIs.
- All four of Victor Munoz' appearances on the mound have been as a starter, holding a 3.15 ERA with a 1-2 record. Elijah Tolsma has started three games for Cameron on the mound, throwing 12.0 innings, while Aiden Duggan leads the team with five appearances from the bullpen with 14.1 innings pitched and a 5.02 ERA.
