TUCSON, Ariz. – Eastern New Mexico men's track and field put up some notable times and marks at the Willie Williams Classic to open up the 2025 outdoor season.
"It's tough for me personally when we have a split squad weekend because of how much is going on," remarked head coach
Joshua Harden when asked about the weekend. "This gave us a great indication where we are as a staff."
First year Greyhounds
Thomas Aerdts (800m - 1:52.35) and
Strahinja Radakovic (110mH - 14.57s) are among the top three all-time in their respective events at ENMU after posting impressive times over the weekend.
A provisional mark and new school record was set in the 4x400. The team of
Tre Buchanan,
Elijah Davis,
Kyler Joe, and
Timothy Frederick blazed through the event in 3:13.26. The group broke the school record by more than two seconds to open the season.
Junior
Noe Ybaben Burciaga impressed in the hammer throw with a personal best of 44.65m (146-6). His throw also earned him third all-time in school history. Also holding down notable marks in the field events was
Hemon Joseph recording a long jump of 6.90m (22-7.75) and javelin throw of 57.75m (189-5).
