Women's track and field snags three NCAA DII provisional marks at Greyhound Open

Eastern New Mexico continues excellent start to 2025 outdoor season during home meet

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico women's track and field added three more NCAA DII provisional marks at the 2025 Greyhound Open.

Kennedy Ulmer posted two of those provisional marks in a pair of throwing events. The Rio Rancho, N.M. native bettered her school record in the discus with a 48.91m (160-5) mark. She ranks third nationally in the event. Ulmer also posted a provisional in the javelin with a 43.12m (141-6) throw. She is the reigning conference champion in the event.

Grizell Scarlett ran an 11.57s time in the 100m. She ranks 13th in the nation with her NCAA DII provisional time.

Freshman Devyn Ericksen won the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.54s. The Farmington, N.M. bettered her school record in the event.

Jha'Niah Johnson secured the number two spot in school history in the hammer after a 48.46m (159-0) throw. Johnson's personal best mark came during her third toss of the day.

Eastern New Mexico will next compete at a meet hosted by North Texas University in Denton, Texas.
