Kennedy Ulmer named Lone Star Conference field athlete of the week

Rio Rancho, N.M. native earns weekly honor from LSC after a great performance at the Greyhound Open

PORTALES, N.M. – Kennedy Ulmer is the Lone Star Conference female field athlete of the week. This award comes after an impressive performance at the Greyhound Open.

Ulmer set two NCAA DII provisional marks in discus (48.91m) and javelin (43.12m). Her mark in discus ranks third nationally among all student-athletes and is a personal record throw.

Her javelin mark places her in the top 25 nationally. She is the defending conference champion in the javelin.

Ulmer also posted a personal best in hammer after going 44.58m (146-3).

This is the Rio Rancho, N.M. native's first weekly honor from the conference.
