Jamoi Jackson earns 400m provisional mark at Don Kirby Twilight

Greyhounds boast 11 personal best marks in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico men's track and field had an excellent meet hosted by the University of New Mexico. The event was highlighted by 11 personal best marks and an NCAA DII provisional time in the 400m by Jamoi Jackson.

"UNM was special because we had a lot of guys who fell in the conference rankings," said head coach Joshua Harden when asked about the men's performance at UNM. "This was their last opportunity to move up."

Jackson is coming off an indoor season that saw him earn first team all-america and all-region honors in the 400m. He ran 46.90s this weekend in Albuquerque to become just the second Hound to go sub-47 in a 400m race outdoors.

The Torres brothers, Malachi Torres (11.06s) and Abisai Torres (10.93s), both earned personal best times in the 100m. Four different Eastern student-athletes posted personal bests in the 200m. Those included Nicolo Salaris (21.40s), Steve Taylor II (21.78s), Elijah Davis (21.87s), and John Magee (22.58s).

Omarion Scott (48.65s) and Elijah Davis (48.94s) both posted personal bests in the 400m. Scott bettered his previous 400m mark by three seconds during the UNM meet.

Jackson Gable continues to make strong strides as he closed out the 2025 outdoor season with a 4:27.03 personal record in the 1500m.

Freshman Braden Mounyo stepped into the top five all time for ENMU school history in the 110m hurdles with a 14.63s finish. His personal best time in the event marks his name in the school record books with top five marks in two different events.

Another hurdler, Byron Pruitt, made a major step at the Don Kirby Twilight. He finished the 400m hurdles in 55.74s. In this season alone, Pruitt has improved his time by more than three seconds.

One key takeaway from head coach Harden was that "we had a solid day all around."

Eastern New Mexico will be hosting the 2025 Lone Star Conference outdoor track and field championships, May 1-3. Tickets are available for purchase now. The meet will feature 12 men's teams from the LSC.
