LEVELLAND, Texas – Eastern New Mexico women's track and field closed out the regular season slate at the SPC Texas Invite Friday and Saturday.

"Everyone came out and left their best effort out there," said head coach Joshua Harden when asked about the meet. "That's all we as a staff ask for."

Meghan Rodriguez competed in two events for ENMU. She posted a 26.91s in the 200m and 1:00.90 in the 400m.

Most throwers also competed in multiple events throughout the weekend. Kennedy Ulmer was the top finisher in three throwing events. Those include marks in discus (43.92m), hammer (42.91m), and javelin (43.81m).

One of the most special parts of the weekend included some seniors competing in their final meet for ENMU. One of those seniors was Malia Sanchez who has been with coach Harden since he began his time in Portales as an assistant during the 2021-22 school year.

"This weekend was very emotional for me. Just like next week will be, as well," said head coach Joshua Harden when asked about the seniors. "My seniors hold a special place in my heart. They stuck by me through this transition and kept showing up and committing themselves to this program and its improvement. I will be forever grateful for this group of seniors who have watched this program change so drastically and kept showing up and matching my energy and commitment to this program."

As the regular season closes, the Greyhounds will now prepare to host the 2025 Lone Star Conference championships May 1-3.
