RICHARDSON, Texas – Two Eastern New Mexico track and field student-athletes are members of the 2025 Lone Star Conference outdoor track and field all-academic team.

"I am happy that the conference is honoring the achievements of Meghan and Jodian on the track and in the classroom," said head coach Joshua Harden. "Both are hard workers and are true student-athletes. They are deserving of this great recognition."

The two awardees for ENMU are Meghan Rodriguez and Jodian Stewart.

Rodriguez is a junior from Albuquerque, N.M. This is her second time on an all-conference team for academics. Her first time came during the indoor season in 2024. She primarily competes in the 200m and 400m races. At this year's conference championships in Portales, she ran a personal record 58.95s in the 400m and was part of the 4x400 squad that took sixth overall with a 3:54.73 time. She is pursuing a degree in physical education and holds a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Stewart is in her second season with ENMU from Black River, Jamaica. This is her first all-conference academic team honor. She participates in short sprints and jumps for the Hounds. At the conference championships, Stewart won the long jump with a school record leap of 6.41m (21-0.5) and ran the first leg with the 4x100 team that took third overall with a 45.82s time. Her season is not over as she qualified to compete at next week's NCAA DII outdoor track and field championships. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology last year and is working towards a master's in communications. In her master's program, she is holding a 4.0 GPA.

In total, 11 men and 11 women made up the all-academic team list for the Lone Star Conference. ENMU is one of four institutions with multiple honorees on the women's all-conference team. No Hounds made the men's all-academic team.
