PORTALES, N.M. – A school record in the decathlon earned
Hemon Joseph a conference championship Friday during the Lone Star Conference outdoor track and field championships.

ENMU had another podium finisher Friday.
Kennedy Ulmer took third in the discus with a 45.55m throw.
William Mclilly was the other Eastern point scorer with an eighth place nod in high jump as he cleared 1.80m.
Five Hounds earned spots into the finals.
Grizell Scarlett raced to a 11.91s finish in the 100m to earn a shot to compete Saturday night.
Steve Taylor II posted a top eight time of 10.64s to make it to the men's 100m final.
The hurdles crew had an excellent night.
Devyn Ericksen will go to the finals in the 400m hurdles with a 1:02.59 time and
Byron Pruitt will compete in the men's finals of the 400m hurdles with a time of 55.67s.
Jamoi Jackson will represent Eastern in the 400m. He finished prelims with a 46.15s time.
