Frederick will be entering his third outdoor championship and fifth overall for ENMU. Scarlett will run in her second outdoor championship and third overall.
3x4 – Throw It: Alex Williams only competed in two meets for Eastern New Mexico this season but still had a qualifying throw at the conference championships. His 65.90m (216-2) throw helped him win the Lone Star Conference title for the first time. He had previously earned second (2024) and third (2023) at previous championships in the javelin. Williams will throw on Saturday, May 24.
Kennedy Ulmer locked herself into nationals after throwing 48.91m (160-5) at the Greyhound Open in March. She just missed out on attending nationals in 2024 but is making her first appearance this weekend. The Rio Rancho, N.M. native will compete Friday, May 23.
4x4 – Jumping Joy: Jodian Stewart is headed to nationals for the first time as she goes into the meet with a season and personal best mark of 6.41m (21-0.5). She hit the mark to win the conference title on her sixth and final attempt of the LSC championship. Stewart jumped 6.31m or further in all three meets during the outdoor campaign. Her current mark is tied for the second furthest jump this season by a competitor at the championships. Only two competitors will represent Lone Star Conference institutions in the event. Long jump will take place Thursday, May 22.
