PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico track and field's
Jodian Stewart is a first team all-america honoree according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Black River, Jamaica native earned the distinction after finishing fourth in the long jump at the 2025 NCAA DII outdoor track and field championships in Pueblo, Colo.
"Jodian had an excellent outdoor season, and I am so happy for her earning all-american honors," said head coach
Joshua Harden. "She worked hard to get to this point, and nobody is more deserving than someone like her."
Stewart is the first women's team member since 2019 to earn first team all-american recognition. She is one of 62 men's and women's competitors from the Lone Star Conference to earn all-american status this year and one of 40 to claim first team all-american honors from the LSC.
The sophomore had an excellent outdoor campaign. She posted a jump of 6.29m or longer in all four meets. Stewart was also a member of the 4x100 squad that took third at conference.
