Greyhound women's cross country predicted to finish 14th in preseason poll

Lone Star Conference releases 2025 preseason poll, selected 14th ahead of first meet

RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference announced the 2025 preseason women's cross country poll. Eastern New Mexico is expected to finish 14th among the 16-team poll.

"I am looking forward to our first meet," said assistant coach Keyanah Browning. "Our women's team has grown over the last year and it's exciting to watch their growth over the last couple weeks of practice."

West Texas A&M (510) is a clear favorite to win the conference with 30 of the total 32 first place votes. Rounding out the top five includes DBU (472), Midwestern State (424), Oklahoma Christian (391), and St. Edward's (376).

The Hounds saw two student-athletes listed as runners to watch. Those were Chama El Hadiri and Elizabeth Lujan-Towles. ENMU will begin their 2025 season with a meet in Lawton, Okla. on September 5.

This year, all LSC programs will compete at the conference championships in Fort Worth, Texas. The meet will be hosted by DBU on October 24.
