PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team heads up to Las Vegas, N.M. for a non-conference match up against New Mexico Highlands at noon on Saturday.
SERIES INSIGHT
•   This marks the ninth meeting between the Greyhounds and the Cowgirls with ENMU holding a 5-3-0 overall record.
•   Eastern has won the last three meetings between the schools where the Greyhounds edged the Cowgirls 2-1 on Sept. 6, 2023 in Portales, N.M.Â
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
•   The Greyhounds were selected 14th in the Lone Star Conference (LSC) preseason poll, with
Gaia Chies (Offensive),
Cristina Boluda Piqueras (Defensive), and
Rosie Willmott Joyce (Goalkeeper) all being named players to watch.
•   ENMU has recruited a smaller first-year class, with 5 individuals taking part of their first collegiate season and 7 returners from last seasons squad
•    The Greyhounds lost on Thursday afternoon to Northwestern Oklahoma State in its 2025 season-opener.

Faith Zint played for the full 90 minutes and led the team with 7 total shots, three of them being on goal.

Aja Gonzales finished the match with ten saves after facing 11 shots on target, playing the full 90 minutes of action.

Addison Garver added two shots for the Greyhounds.
•   The Greyhounds head to Colorado next week for a pair of non-conference road matches with Fort Lewis on Thursday and Adams State on Saturday.
SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS
•   New Mexico Highlands finished 13th in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) preseason poll, following a 2-14-2 record, and 0-11-1 conference record in 2024.
•   The Cowgirls are coming off a 2-1 loss to West Texas A&M where the Lady Buffs scored two goals in the second half to secure the win.
•   Ninon Rigal scored the lone goal for the Cowgirls while teammate goalkeeper Haylee Driscoll tallied 11 saves and played the full 90 minutes.
