LUBBOCK, Texas – Eastern New Mexico women's track and field brought a small crew to compete at the Jarvis Scott Invitational hosted by Texas Tech. The two-day meet featured 44 other colleges, universities, and clubs.

"Definitely some great competition," said head coach Joshua Harden on the meet. "Look forward to how we continue to prepare for conference."

Four women competed in the 60m. Riley Midgett (7.81s), Ambrosia Francis (7.82s), Journie Alexander (7.96s), and Eniola Komolafe (7.96s) all competed for Eastern. Francis and Komolafe both had collegiate best times.

A field of 148 in the 200m saw six different Hounds run. Midgett was the fastest ENMU runner with a 25.25s time. Lesedi Anyika had a nice run in the 400m improving her personal best mark with a 57.47s result.

Chama El-Hadiri ran a collegiate best time in the mile. Her 5:11.32 time in now in the top 16 among runners in the Lone Star Conference. The 60m hurdles was a packed field with three Eastern New Mexico finishers. Korah Ives improved her collegiate mark with a 9.34s finish.

Eastern had two groups run the 4x400. One crew finished at 3:55.42 and the other crossed the line in 4:00.53. The first time ranks seventh among teams in the conference.

Two jumpers competed for the Hounds. Journie Alexander had a leap of 5.15m (16-10.75) in the long jump. Celina Thomas had a 11.77m (38-7.50) result in the triple jump.

Only one thrower was represented by the green and silver. SeiOriana Glass posted a 14.77m (48-5.50) toss in the weight throw. She had throws of 13 meters or further on all three attempts.
