RICHARDSON, Texas – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USCCCA) announced three Eastern New Mexico student-athletes with all-region accolades and the Lone Star Conference recognized seven ENMU standouts with all-conference honors.
"It's great to get these types of accolades," said head coach
Joshua Harden. "We put in the work every day and know that there is still more to aim for."
Strahinja Radakovic and
Hemon Joseph both earned south central all-region honors along with first team all-conference nods.
Celina Thomas was named an all-region performer alongside her second team all-conference honor.
Joining Radakovic and Joseph on the first team all-LSC is
Eloy Serrano Borrego. Joining Thomas on the second team is
Ashley Richburg.
Third team all-LSC honorees for ENMU are
Minerva Cerda Hernandez and
William Mclilly.
The list of all-conference performers includes the first team, which consists of event winners, all members of the winning relay teams and athletes scoring 14 or more points at the LSC Championships. The second team includes athletes on the second-place relay teams and those scoring 8-13.9 points, while the third team recognizes members of third-place relay teams and athletes scoring 6-7.9 points. The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.Â
