Three Greyhounds earn All-Lone Star Conference honors

Meneses named First-Team All-LSC; Rodarte and Rodriguez garner Third-Team recognition

RICHARDSON, Texas - Eastern New Mexico had three players selected to the All-Lone Star Conference teams as announced by the league office on Wednesday evening.

"I am very proud of each of them for being recognized by the LSC on the All-Conference teams," stated fifth-year head softball coach Amanda Fefel.
 
Sophomore first baseman Christina Meneses headlined the Greyhounds' honorees, earning First-Team All-LSC recognition after a dominant season at the plate. The slugger ranked third in the Lone Star Conference with a .450 batting average while leading the league with a .572 on-base percentage. Meneses also placed seventh in the LSC in slugging percentage and fourth in on base plus slugging at 1.372.
 
Meneses provided consistent power and production throughout the season, finishing 12th in the conference with 47 RBI, 19th with 54 hits, and 17th with nine home runs. She also added 11 doubles to her impressive stat line, leading the Greyhounds in multiple offensive categories.
 
Freshman outfielder Natalie Rodarte of Oxnard, Calif., earned Third-Team All-LSC honors in her first collegiate season. Rodarte finished second on the team with a .380 batting average while collecting 38 hits and driving in 16 runs. The freshman standout posted a .520 slugging percentage and a .504 on-base percentage, establishing herself as a key contributor in the Hounds lineup.
 
Senior utility player and pitcher Marissa Rodriguez of Buena Vista, Calif., rounded out Eastern's All-LSC selections with Third-Team recognition. Rodriguez made her impact on both sides of the ball, finishing fifth on the team with a .312 batting average, 24 hits, and 18 RBI. In the circle, Rodriguez led the Greyhounds with a 4.33 ERA and ranked 17th in the LSC with 10 wins. She logged 87.1 innings pitched with 43 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .301 batting average and 108 hits.

"This is an incredible achievement and a testament to their hard work and perseverance throughout the year," Fefel continued. "Competing at such a high level and being recognized among the best in the conference speaks volumes for each of them. "
 
Eastern New Mexico finished the 2026 season with an overall record of 20-17 and a 16-24 mark in league play.
