PORTALES, N.M. – As the 2026-27 season approaches tip off, the Eastern New Mexico Men's Basketball team has reloaded its roster to make another run at a Lone Star Title. The Hounds have added three newcomers to its roster, welcoming Michael Jones, Savon Myers and Charlie Campbell to Portales.

Michael Jones | F | 6'8" | Tarpon Springs, FL

Jones joins the Greyhounds with previous Lone Star Conference experience after spending last season at Cameron. He earned All-LSC recognition while averaging 15 points and six rebounds per game. Prior to Cameron, Jones played two seasons at Lawson State Community College in Alabama under former ENMU head coach Stott Carter.

Jones brings proven scoring and rebounding ability to the Greyhounds' frontcourt and adds another experienced player familiar with competition in the LSC.

"Since the 2022-23 season our program has established a dominant presence in the paint.  Michael will help continue that trend given his track record of scoring and rebounding in the LSC," spoke head coach Daven Vo about the addition of Jones, "I think Mike has a great personality and will continue to grow as a Greyhound."

Savon Myers | W | 6'6" | Manchester, N.J.

Myers makes his way to ENMU after playing at Redlands Community College in Oklahoma, where he earned Third Team All-Conference honors. An athletic presence, Myers adds another option to the Greyhounds' frontcourt. His athleticism and ability to play above the rim will provide ENMU with additional size and versatility heading into the upcoming season.
"We targeted Savon a couple years back when he left a lasting impression on us with his relentless motor while he was at Redlands.  Savon is an elite athlete that we expect to be an above the rim fan favorite here in The Loy." Said Vo.
Charlie Campbell | PG | 6'4" | Artesia, N.M.

Campbell stays in his home state after putting together a decorated high school career at Artesia High School.
The Artesia, N.M., product earned District MVP, First Team All-State and Class 4A Player of the Year honors during his prep career. Campbell also established Artesia records for assists in a single game and career assists. Campbell helped lead Artesia to the 2024-25 state championship during his junior season. A versatile guard, Campbell brings the ability to play multiple positions while providing playmaking experience to the ENMU backcourt.

Vo spoke on the high school success for Campbell; "I love the fact that Charlie is a state champion from right here in New Mexico.  Over the years we've always had multiple high school state champions in our program that have made a lasting impact and Charlie is no different.  He is a very smart young man that can play multiple positions."
 
 Jones, Myers and Campbell will join the Greyhounds as Eastern New Mexico continues preparations for the upcoming season. The team will tip off on November 13th against Fort Lewis College in Las Vegaws, N.M.
