PORTALES, N.M. — The Eastern New Mexico University men's basketball coaching staff has announced the addition of three talented newcomers to the roster: international standouts Bilal Pedersen and Oluwademilade "Demi" Babalola, alongside dynamic junior college transfer Syncere Burnette.

Bilal Pedersen | Guard | Freshman | Denmark
Pedersen arrives in Portales bringing a wealth of high-level experience from competing in Denmark and representing his home country at several FIBA events throughout Europe, including a standout performance at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket in 2026 where he averaged 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.

 "Adding to a talented and deep returning back court we expect Billy to make an immediate impact. He's got the skill, size, and athleticism to compete in the LSC (Lone Star Conference) but Billy is mature beyond his years. His mindset is elite and that is what will set him apart as he continues to grow as a Greyhound."







Oluwademilade "Demi" Babalola | Forward/Guard | Freshman | Great Britain
Babalola joins the Greyhounds after representing Great Britain at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket in 2025, where he averaged 5 points and 4 rebounds per contest while starting for the national squad.

"This young man started for the U18 Great Britain national team and it was easy to see why," Vo noted. "Demi has a relentless motor and nose for the basketball. He is a tenacious defender and his size and athleticism make him a seamless fit here at Eastern. I am very excited to see how much better he can get for us."












Syncere Burnette | Guard | Junior | Cloud County
The Greyhounds have added a two-time all-conference player from the highly competitive Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Burnette comes to Portales following a productive two-year career at Cloud County, where he stuffed the stat sheet with averages of 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per game.

"Syncere is a talented combo guard that we expect to have a productive career in the Lone Star Conference," said Vo. "He can shoot it, pass it, and handle it however his quickness and basketball IQ is what makes him very unique. Syn equally has the same aggressive approach on the defensive end and we love the fact that he takes pride on both sides of the basketball."
