PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico volleyball team returns to Greyhound Arena Tuesday night when they host in-state rival New Mexico Highlands at 6 p.m. The match will be the second of three meetings between the teams this season.

Lindsey Barron is averaging 2.39 k/s with a .226 attack percentage while middle blocker and fellow classmate
Agatha Gibbons leads the team and is fifth in the Lone Star Conference with hitting percentage of .305.

Bree Anna Lucero and Gibbons pace the squad with 60 blocks and are tied for fifth with 1.07 b/s in the LSC. Frye has contributed with 40 blocks while junior right side hitter
Talaitupu Faumui has 29 rejections on the year.
Eastern is hitting .175 as a team while producing 11.2 k/s off of 10.4 a/s. At the service line, they have 71 aces but have surrendered 85 to opponents. At the net, the Zias have a 123-100.5 blocking advantage.
Scouting New Mexico HighlandsNew Mexico Highlands went 1-1 at home last week when they defeat Western New Mexico in three sets and were swept by Adams State. The Cowgirls are in a four-way tie for 10th in the 14-team Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. They have wins over Chadron State, East Central, Eastern New Mexico, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas A&M-International and Western New Mexico.
Alicia Moreno leads the team in kills (154), k/s (2.75) and attack percentage (.210) while her 11 service aces are tied for second. Also averaging over two kills a set is Andrea Nunez at 2.46 although her attack percentage is only .101. Six other players are recording over a kill per set as well. Setting them up are Shayli Schulz (4.23 a/s) and Tarissa Mellin (3.97 a/s).
Defensively, Jessica Piper is averaging a team-high 3.93 d/s while Moreno contributes 3.02 d/s. Leading the team with 42 blocks is Tianna Matthews. Katie Trammel has rejected 39 attempts and 31 have been credited to Nunez.
The Cowgirls are hitting .135 and putting up 11.5 k/s and 10.6 a/s. They have recorded 78 aces from the service line. NMHU is getting 14.2 d/s and have 99 total blocks. Opponents have an attack percentage of .193 with 11.9 k/s and 11.2 a/s. The Cowgirls have also been blocked 120 times this season.
