COMMERCE, TEXAS — The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team (4-12-1; LSC 0-9) dropped a 5-0 decision to Texas A&M-Commerce (9-5-2; LSC 5-1-2) in Lone Star Conference action, Monday at Lion Soccer Field. The game was originally scheduled for early Sunday afternoon, but was postponed due to weather concerns.
The Lions struck quickly, as Jade Bell netted the game-winning goal 20 seconds into play.
Cristina Escobedo and
Karissa Stinson combined to make nine saves for the Greyhounds. Courtney Northern made four saves for A&M-Commerce. Texas A&M-Commerce held a 26-6 edge in total shots and a 9-5 lead in corner kicks.
The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will conclude the regular season on Friday at West Texas A&M. The contest is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. MT.
