PORTALES, N.M. — Tomorrow evening, the Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will conclude its 13
th regular season of play with a road match against Lone Star Conference rival, West Texas A&M. The Greyhounds will enter the match looking to snap a four-game skid and gain momentum for the upcoming LSC Championship tournament.

Cristina Escobedo made five saves to preserve a 2-2 tie at Lubbock Christian. A little more than a week later, Escobedo and
Karissa Stinson combined to make a
pair of saves in a 2-1 win at Texas A&M-International.
Danielle Caro has a team-best two goals in road games, while
Melissa Moxley and
Melissa Carnero both have assists. Eastern is looking to snap a four-game skid in road games, dating back to the win over A&M-International.
Against West Texas A&MWT Women's SoccerWT RosterWT ScheduleWT StatisticsEastern is 6-11-1 against the Lady Buffs, which includes a 3-1-1 record since the 2013 season. West Texas A&M claimed a 2-1 win in Portales, earlier this season, and overcame an early goal from
Melissa Carnero. All three goals in that game came in the first half. The final nine minutes of the game were played after a lightning delay which surpassed an hour in duration.
Last season, ENMU handed the Lady Buffs a pair of 1-0 defeats.
In Canyon, Melissa Moxley tallied the game-winning goal, 31:27 into play, while
Fabienne Wilson made three saves to earn the shutout. When the series shifted to Portales,
Wilson made six saves to garner another shutout, with Caro's overtime goal propelling Eastern to victory.
Eastern is 1-6-1 at WT, with last year's victory standing as the first time the Hounds have won on the road in the series. The teams played to a
scoreless tie in 2013, with Wilson making four saves.
Up NextNext week, the Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will enter the Lone Star Conference tournament for the fourth time in program history. It also will be the first time ENMU has participated in the championship event in back-to-back seasons. The tournament will most likely be hosted by Angelo State or Texas A&M-Commerce, pending the outcomes of this weekend's games.
