PORTALES, N.M. — Eastern New Mexico University softball coach Kristen Soukup has announced the cancelation of this weekend's Lone Star Conference series at Midwestern State, due to inclement weather. The games will not be rescheduled.
 
The Zias will return home, next Friday, to open at Lone Star Conference series against sixth-ranked Angelo State. Friday's doubleheader will start at 1 p.m. MT. Eastern has opened the season with a 12-4 record and has won seven of its last eight contests.
