PORTALES, N.M. –The Eastern New Mexico University men's basketball team travels to 12^th-ranked Tarleton and Texas A&M-Commerce aiming for a late push to make the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The 'Hounds take on the Texans in Stephenville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday while the matchup with the Lions is tabbed for 3 p.m. on Saturday. Eastern currently sits at 8-13 overall and 2-9 in LSC action after the upset of then 20^th-ranked West Texas A&M last Thursday.
 
Joe Clarke has led the Greyhounds offense these last few weeks. The New Rochelle, NY, native has scored at least 13 points in seven of the last eight games and eclipsed the 20-point plateau on two occasions.
 
Freshman guard Byrale Carter is coming off his best two offensive performances, going above double-figures in both games. The 12 points against WT were the most by the Killeen, Texas, native this season.
 
Senior guard Chris Wyms dished out nine total assists in the previous two games. Additionally, the Carson, Calif., native has been clutch at the free throw line, shooting at 91% on the season, missing just five shots at the stripe.
 
Forwards Chris Lewis, Andre Hughes and Arcaim Lallemand have crashed the glass all season, combining for 319 boards. Lewis leads the team, averaging 7.1 RPG.
