What to Watch For
  • This week marks the first time this season the Hounds will not face a foe ranked or receiving votes in the national polls; however, the Green and Silver face a tall-task in the Division I Aggies.
    • Nov. 11 – vs. #16 Fort Lewis (W, 73-72)
    • Nov. 17 – vs. RV Dixie State (L, 89-99 OT)
    • Nov. 18 – vs. RV Azusa Pacific (W, 86-70)
    • Nov. 25 – vs. RV Dallas Baptist (L, 69-83)
    • Nov. 30 – vs. #18 UTPB (L, 74-84)
    • Dec. 2 – vs. #8 West Texas A&M (L, 69-99)
    • Dec. 7 – at RV Texas A&M-Commerce (L, 78-85)
  • Last year, ENMU dropped the exhibition matchup with NMSU 84-50 on Dec. 27. In that contest, the Greyhounds held a 22-14 edge on the offensive boards.
  • Friday marks the first-ever matchup between OCU and ENMU.
  • ENMU Head Coach Tres Segler moved to 16-22 overall with the Hounds after last weekend's setbacks.
  • Eastern has gone with the starting lineup of Maurice Coleman, Lamarquis Thompson, Zach Parker, Arcaim Lallemand and Jamani Pierce in seven of the first 10 contests this year. The only other lineup used by the Hounds inserted Andre Hughes in the four with Pierce.
  • Thompson (12.0 PPG), Pierce (9.9 PPG), Parker (9.9 PPG) and Devin Pullum (9.1 PPG) are all flirting with double-figures in points. Pullum is coming off a breakout, 24-point performance off the bench against Tarleton State. Last weekend, the freshman averaged 21.5 points against Texas A&M-Commerce and Tarleton.
  • Overall, Coleman (33), Thompson (23), Pullum (18), Brown (13), Parker (12) and Lallemand (10) have done a stellar job of distributing the basketball this season as the Green and Silver have 125 dimes to just 139 turnovers.
  • Another considerable turnaround from last season has been from the charity stripe. The Greyhounds are shooting 73% from the line, much better than the 65% the team shot a year ago.

What's Next?
Following the road trip, ENMU welcomes Regis to the friendly confines of Greyhound Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 19. The men's basketball team is hosting a toy drive benefiting the Baptist Children's Home and the Christian Children's Home in the Portales community. Tipoff against the Rangers is slated for 3 p.m.
