What to Watch For
- This weekend's Lone Star Conference matchup marks the fifth-straight weekend ENMU has faced off against an opponent that was either ranked or receiving votes in the national polls.
- Nov. 11 – vs. #16 Fort Lewis (W, 73-72)
- Nov. 17 – vs. RV Dixie State (L, 89-99 OT)
- Nov. 18 – vs. RV Azusa Pacific (W, 86-70)
- Nov. 25 – vs. RV Dallas Baptist (L, 69-83)
- Nov. 30 – vs. #18 UTPB (L, 74-84)
- Dec. 2 – vs. #8 West Texas A&M (L, 69-99)
- Dec. 7 – at RV Texas A&M-Commerce (12 p.m.)
- Last year, ENMU went 1-1 against A&M-C, with each team winning the road matchup. In  Portales, the Lions took home an 83-73 win (Dec. 8), while the Greyhounds claimed a 72-65 thriller on the road (Feb. 4).
- The Hounds lost both matchups with the Texans last year, falling 92-79 at Greyhound Arena (Dec.10). The Hounds were a Joe Clarke jumper away from taking down TSU on the road last year, falling 76-74 in Stephenville (Feb. 6).
- ENMU Head Coach Tres Segler moved to 16-20 overall with the Hounds after last weekend's setbacks.
- Eastern has gone with the starting lineup of Maurice Coleman, Lamarquis Thompson, Zach Parker, Arcaim Lallemand and Jamani Pierce through the first six contests this year before Andre Hughes was swapped out with Pierce this past weekend.
- Thompson (14.1 PPG), Pierce (10.5 PPG) and Parker (10.5 PPG) are all averaging in double-figures. Parker had a breakout performance against Dixie State in which he dropped 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting, including five threes.
- Overall, Coleman (26), Thompson (18), Devin Pullum (11), Parker (10) and Lallemand (10) have done a stellar job of distributing the basketball this season as the Green and Silver have 99 dimes to just 109 turnovers.
- Another considerable turnaround from last season has been from the charity stripe. The Greyhounds are shooting 73% from the line, much better than the 65% the team shot a year ago.
What's Next?
Following the road trip, ENMU travels to Las Cruces for an exhibition matchup with Division I New Mexico State on Tuesday, Dec. 12. Tipoff against the Aggies is slated for 7 p.m.
