PORTALES, NM – After a Monday vote among league head coaches, the Lone Star Conference released its 2018 Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Year. Among the seven honorees was Eastern New Mexico University's Marcus Parker.

Parker shared Male Indoor Track Athlete of the Year honors with Dalton Stidham (Tarleton State) and Rashard Clark (Texas A&M-Commerce). Parker is the first Greyhound to earn the distinction since Isaiah Samoei in 2014.

Parker earned the conference title in both the 60m and 200m dashes. He went on to place fifth in the nation in the 200m dash and sixth in the 60m.

The Eastern New Mexico University track & field team will open the outdoor segment of its schedule, this Saturday, with the ENMU Open. The meet will be held at Greyhound Stadium and begin at 10 a.m. MT.
