CANYON, Texas – Eastern New Mexico women's cross country finished in 13
th place out of 29 competing teams at the 2019 South Central Regional Cross Country Meet in Canyon, Texas.
The Hounds were paced by 2019 All-Lone Star Conference performer
Evaline Cheptoo, who finished in 29
th place with a time 23:01.28 in the 6K race. Eastern New Mexico totaled 403 points to finish seven points behind West Texas A&M and as the fourth-best LSC school at the event.
Adams State had five runners finish in the top 10 to capture the 2019 team title behind the efforts of individual champion Stephanie Cotter, who blitzed the field with a time of 20:53.50. The top eight finishing teams all represented the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in the event.

Aminata Kenyawani finished in 45
th place with a time of 23:27.96 while junior
Kayla Sisneros finished in 97
th place with a time of 24:36.85. Freshman
Viridiana Ruiz impressed in her regional meet debut with a 105
th place finish following a time of 24:42.29.
