Portales, N.M – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball celebrated their 2019 season last night at their end of the year banquet where four players were awarded and seniors were given a final good bye.

Freshman Gracelyn Stubbs won the Offensive Player of the year award. Stubbs, a middle blocker, played in 22 out of 26 games finishing the season with 111 kills, 160.5 points, and 31 digs. Junior Kaycee Stone won the Zia Spirit award. Stone, a settler from Portales, played in ten matches this past season, marking her first season with the Hounds.  

Redshirt sophomore, M'Lee Vinson, came away with three awards last night, Most Improved, Blue Collar (hardest worker) and Defensive Player of the Year. In her first season with the Hounds, Vinson recorded 261 digs, and eight points as a defensive specialist.

Senior Sarah Tuioti-Mariner won the award for Most Valuable Greyhound. Sarah is an outside/opposite side hitter who has played for the Hounds all four years. Tuioti-Mariner ended her Hound career with 770 kills, 573 digs, and 861 points.

Along with Tuioti-Mariner, the Hounds say good bye to three other seniors, Christelle Kialanda, Lauryn Breshnahan, and Julie Tucker.
