Box Score PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Eastern New Mexico men's basketball team took to the court for their second game in consecutive days in exhibition action against Division I Grand Canyon University and dropped a 95-64 decision.
Eastern New Mexico trailed just 43-35 at the half, but conceded 52 points to Grand Canyon in the second half to finish up its final tune-up before taking part in the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament on March 7-10. Senior
Zach Parker led the way in the scoring category for the second straight night for the Greyhounds, finishing with 13 points in the Hound's second straight nationally-televised contest.
The Hounds never took the lead in the game despite hanging around throughout the early stages of the first half before Grand Canyon extended the lead to as many as 13 points with 2:25 remaining in the opening half. Sophomore
Devin Pullum drove in and put down a lay-up and then a step-back three pointer in consecutive possessions to get the disadvantage back down to just 43-35 heading into the break.
Pullum finished with 11 points while junior
Isaiah Murphy led the way in rebounding for the Hounds with six boards on the night.

Arcaim Lallemand came out of that halftime break and drew a foul to put the first points on the board of the second half on his second free throw attempt before Grand Canyon strung together 10 unanswered points to extend the advantage out to 53-36. Eastern New Mexico managed to get the deficit back to within 12 points at the 14:02 mark, but couldn't get the offensive momentum needed to keep pace with the opposition.
The Hounds will now wait to see how the rest of the league plays out over the weekend before officially earning their seeding for the Lone Star Conference Postseason Tournament. The Hounds will play on Thursday in the first round of the tournament in Frisco, Texas at the Comerica Center.
