PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico softball team finishes out the season this week with a set of doubleheaders on the road. The Greyhounds face St. Mary's on Wednesday, May 5 at 3 p.m. and St. Edward's on Friday, May 7 at 11 a.m.Â

LAST TIME OUT
The Greyhounds enter the weekend with an overall record of 4-23 and Lone Star Conference record of 4-22. Last weekend, the Hounds dropped two contests to No. 10 West Texas A&M by scores of 10-0 (5 inn.) and 8-0 (5 inn.).
Eastern was held hitless by the Lady Buff pitching staff throughout both contests.

SCOUTING THE HOUNDS
Eastern is led offensively by

St. Mary's
The Rattlers enter the series with an overall record of 18-22 and a 13-15 mark in the Lone Star Conference. Last time out, St. Mary's split with St. Edward's on May 2. The Rattlers lost the first game, 8-4, and won the second, 2-1.
St. Mary's is led offensively by Jayme Johns who has a .400 batting average, 46 hits, 28 runs, 20 RBI, and six doubles. Abigale Carney has contributed a .269 batting average, 32 hits, nine doubles, eight home runs, and 31 RBI. Bari Christian paces the team in triples with seven.
In the circle, Alex McLennan has a team-low ERA of 3.01 as well as an 8-7 record and 33 strikeouts in 95.1 innings. Julia Cruz leads the team in strikeouts with 36 and also has an ERA of 3.38 in 70.1 innings.
St. Edward's
The Hilltoppers have an overall record of 14-18 and a 10-16 LSC record. On May 2, St. Edward's battled St. Mary's. The Hilltoppers won the first contest, 8-4, and lost the second, 2-1.
Genisa Marrero-Carter leads the way offensively with a .356 batting average, 21 runs, 37 hits, three triples, and 10 RBI. Alexis Massie paces the team in RBI (18) and home runs (4) and also has a .300 batting average, 27 hits, and five doubles. Valerie Brant has added 27 hits, eight doubles, and 15 RBI.
In the circle, McKenna Leamon has seen the most time with 86.0 innings of work. She has a 7-9 record to go with 73 strikeouts and a 4.92 ERA. Cadie Bell Currie has a team-low ERA of 4.07 to go with a 5-6 record and 44 strikeouts in 66.1 innings.
