RICHARDSON, Texas – The Eastern New Mexico track and field program landed seven student-athletes on the 2022 LSC Indoor Track & Field All-Conference teams, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Malethabo Seema was awarded First Team All-Conference,
Aminata Kenyawani finished on the All-Conference Second Team, while
Arianna Hayde and the Distance Medley Relay team of
Lethabo Seema,
Alisha Hayde,
Kaylyn De la Rosa, and
Marta Pascoa all placed on Third Team All-Conference.
M. Seema scored 10 points for the Greyhounds in team scoring, after taking first place in the 800-meter run. M. Seema earned First Team All-Conference honors with a personal best time of 2:16.12, and when adjusting for altitude the time clocked 2:15.73, the fastest time run by an LSC student-athlete this season.
Kenyawani posted a second-place finish in the 5000-meter run, which landed the senior on the All-Conference Second Team. Their time of 18:08.24 was a career best, and the third fastest time this season in the Lone Star Conference.
Collectivity, Ar. Hayde earned a place on the All-Conference Third Team after solid finishes in the long jump and triple jump. Ar. Hayde posted a leap of 5.49m (18' 0.25") in the long jump to take fifth place, and followed with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 11.42m (37' 5.75").
Additionally, the Distance Medley Relay team of L. Seema, Al. Hayde, De la Rosa, and Pascoa finished in third place and earned an All-Conference nod on the third team. The time of 12:48.03 earned a place on the podium at the 2022 LSC ITF Indoor Championships.
